From The East – Worshipful Master Alan Gravley
Brethren. I can not tell you how honored I am to have been installed as Worshipful Master of this Lodge. The installation itself was fantastic. Brother Alton Allen’s brisket was world class. We had a very good turn out, and I am happy to report that we have almost every Officer position filled.
I am excited about the coming Masonic year and look forward to what it will bring. We have a lot that needs to be accomplished this year, including building maintenance and repairs, getting the Lodge more involved with our community, as well as future fundraising events and Officer training.
We have a dedicated group of guys in place, and I have no doubts that we will succeed in our endeavors. If you need anything at all, or know of Brothers in sickness or distress, or have ideas for your Lodge, please do not hesitate to contact me,
Congratulations to the newly installed officers
On July the 2nd, James A. Smith conducted its 142nd Annual Officers Installation ceremony before a nearly packed lodge that included the presence of Past Grand Master Leonard P, Harvey.
The events first kicked off at Carrollton Lodge at 10:00 a.m. with their Installation Ceremony. Afterwards they all joined us for an incredible Brisket barbeque with every side dish imaginable put on by the new Stewards and other volunteers with the ceremony following here afterwards.
The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Farmers Branch Assembly #368 performed a beautiful and very impressive ribbon ceremony and conducted the Entrance of Officers that was enjoyed by all.
The event started with a warm welcome and address by P.M. Glen Garber from Carrollton Lodge 1400. P.M. Bobby Caldwell tied everything together with an incredible performance of Installing Marshall.
The Installation ceremony was headed by none other that R.W. Jerry Kirby, DGM who took time out of his busy schedule to visit and take part at our annual event. His Bible dedication to the new Master and the Lodge was a sight to behold.
Present as well was a long “who’s who” list of Past Masters from the region as well as visiting Masons, their family and guest..
It is always a joy when friends and family can join us at an open lodge to get a glimpse of what we do and what we as Masons are about.
